- Version 1
|Recorded:||2nd June 2012|
|Audio Capture:||PC Capture|
This piece materialised out of nothing on a Saturday afternoon. I'd just sat down for a guitar session and idly played a few notes - and liked what I heard. I then took the riff a bit further, and tried looping it on the ME-25. Before long I had a few more layers to add to it. I then reconnected the mixer so that everything was going through the ME-25 and could now all be looped. The drum sound comes from the PSR-500 keyboard, although it is the reverb added by the ME-25 that makes it sound special here.
I had a preliminary run-through of the whole thing and recorded the second attempt - it's just a capture of the live output from the ME-25. There is also video footage, although the angle it is filmed from doesn't really show much. I edited down the audio capture to create this version, and named it Hypnogroove.
After laying dormant for ten months, finally I thought of a way of turning this into a song of sorts, and it became Soft Landing.
